A musical prodigy, Elton taught himself the piano. At the age of 3, he played ‘The Skater’s Waltz’ after learning it by ear. His passion for composition was all-consuming, and aged 17 – against his Dad’s advice – he walked away from his studies to pursue the now legendary career in music.
